The principal photography was completed in one day using the Canon 7D. There was no dialogue which was a big help in both production and post-production. I used my tripod slider, IDC Follow Focus, and brand new SmallHD DP6 monitor for this shoot. I have to say the DP6 performed great for both me and the client during the shoot. Myself and a couple of collegues were able to complete the principal photography for this commercial in about 4 hours. The campaign follows a young couple through the initial stages of their life together from engagement to anniversary. These types of spots are very fun to work on especially since there is no dialog that is needed to be captured. The principal photography for this commercial was taken with the Canon 7D and my Canon EF 50mm f/1.4 lens, and took place at a trail-side condo at Shawnee Peak in Bridgton Maine. I performed the blocking, lighting, camera operation, and editing of the commercial. We used a lot of natural light, but I did supplement with an Arri 1K with CTB gel and 18x24 silk, as well as some additional Arri's in my kit once it became darker later in the day. The most difficult obstacle to overcome for this spot was the blocking of the main subjects.
