ExposureRoom

... is about Getting Exposure. The more you interact with other members, and the more they interact with you, the more exposure you get! You interact with other members by doing the following:

  • Upload Photos, Videos, Music and/or Graphic Art. As part of this effort:
    • Give credit to others involved in the creation of your work.
      • Giving credit is a capability that is provided from the "Edit" asset page.
      • Select from 2 dropdown lists: "Credit Type", and the "friend" to whom you wish to give the credit.
Only "friends" and your own name will appear in this list. Of course, just starting out, you usually have no ExposureRoom friends. So we've made it convenient for you to "Invite a Friend" from the Edit Page.
Note: Please know that the "Invite a Friend" form has NO impact on the edit of information of your asset -- should you "Invite a Friend" using this form, such friend simply receives an email requesting that they join ExposureRoom.
    • Annotate your assets with a title, meaningful description, tags and equipment/software that you used in making the assets.
Remember -- This information is viewable by the public. The more meaningful and engaging the information that you provide here, the more views you are likely to get.
  • Write journals (blogs, articles, tutorials and reviews) about the experiences and insights you have had.
  • Make friends.
  • Rate and comment upon other members’ work.
  • Add those special assets to your favorites.
  • Provide comments and constructive criticism to other members’ work.

The aim is to have work rated, commented and favorited by other members.

Getting Started

Your profile

In your profile, make sure to upload a portrait-style head shot of yourself so that others know who they’re interacting with whenever they visit your website.

You may also want to set up your occupations (or hobbies/passions). This will facilitate collaboration with others so that members can get together to produce creative works.

Upload Your assets

Upload quality videos, photos, music and graphic art. “Edit” the information to provide a title, interesting description, tags and equipment/software.

Special Note for Videos

Once uploaded, videos will be transcoded to provide different versions to accommodate different bandwidths. Thus, it may be a few minutes before you can view your video. During this time, you may “edit” the video to provide title, description, tags and equipment/software.

Reporting problems or suggestions

Please make suggestions or report problems using the Newsgroups “Suggestion” community. We look forward to getting your feedback!
