Get the best quality for your videos by NOT letterboxing your videos on ExposureRoom.
One uses Letterboxes or Pillar bars essentially to fit film or video of one aspect ratio to another aspect ratio. Sometimes your videos get letterboxed when you encode for DVD. Or you intentionally letterbox your videos to produce that "
Cinemascope
" look or aspect ratio (2.35:1).
On ExposureRoom, however, there is no need to use letterboxing or pillar bars. In fact if you want the best quality for your videos you should not letterbox your videos. This article by Shiv Kumar explains why.
