A collection of shots from last week, shot around Mont Saxonnex and Chamonix. The track is taken from an old ambient piece I did with a Korg synth.

Wow, Adrian! You've succeeded in making me completely relax and forget about the stress of my life for a few minutes! Absolutely beautiful! I love the music as much as the visuals.
The only critique I have is the close up shot of the building at the end (2:11 I think) seems misplaced. Maybe if you had put a wider shot of it in before it so you could see the setting, it would blend better.
Great job!

Thanks Todd,
Some of this was shot on a day out with my wife and daughter and was one of the most relaxing days I've had in a while! So I'm glad it came across like that. Thanks for the feedback, being both shooter and editor it's hard to be objective some times.
Cheers
Adrian

Adrian,
Yes, the visuals long with the music were very relaxing and immersing. I loved that you got shots of some wild life in there. I'd change the thumbnail to be a frame from one of those scenes.
You had only one real wide shot if I recall correctly and I felt that this kind of scenery warranted more wides shots. The one wide shot you had looked tremendous. If you do have wide shot's I'd love to see another edit that incorporates those.

Shiv,
Thanks, I shot quite a lot of bigger landscape shots over these couple of days, but concentrated on the flowers and wildlife for this edit. Some of this is a result of trying out the tripod as dolly/crane technique, that I only came across a few weeks ago. It takes a bit of practice, but is probably a technique worth mastering, if like me, you're hiking a lot with kit. downanddirtydv.blogspot.com has a video demo of this technique.
How do I add an external link to a post/comment?
Like the new banner by the way.

Adrian,
Oh, I see. I noticed that technique quite prominently on of of those shots. It does put a unique touch to shots.
Thanks for the compliments on the banner :)
Adding a link in comments and making it appear as a link would mean you'd need to use a bit on html I'm afraid. You know
tag and all. So in descriptions of assets and in comments where we don't provide an editor of any sort, you'll need to use html. If you simply put in the url, we'll see it but it won't be converted to a hyperlink.
