This is the opening sequence to the Sky News 2007 Year In Review programme. It is an hour long programme in which Political Editor Adam Boulton looks back at the key events of 2007, ranging from weather, sport, showbiz, science, crime, politics and any specific events that may have left their mark for British viewers that year. In addition to the usual broadcast version, this year I also cut one for the Daily Telegraph newspaper, made available to it's readers as DVD.

This intro sets up the weather chapter and is preceded by Adam Boulton's piece to camera - so give it a moment... ;-)

You deffinitely have a lot of fun doing this stuff. It must also be fun to have a lot of footage at your disposal no? Or is it the other way around?

Yes, when it comes to cutting these review programmes, there is a ton of footage to work with. The only thing is that invariably one has to make reference to issues that may have been big but for which the available picture is not great. Getting around that can be tricky.

The 2006 Review Intro was much wider in scope. It really tried to set the scene for the whole programme ahead. This 2007 Review Intro was setting up the chapter focusing on weather and environmental issues and was therefore significantly more limited.

But fun is had either way!
