The first of my 1 video per day for a month challenge. I'm already behind here! As long as I get 30 done by the end of the month :)

This is really basic with no fancy edits or anything. Just handheld footage from along the beach outside the resort we stayed at in Koh Samui, Thailand recently. The resort was Bandara and the beach was Bophut.

The music is what slowed me down here. After all these years I'm back to mixing analog on a mixing desk as opposed to within the software. Took me a while to figure out which audio buss in Vegas was going where and re-familiarise myself with the whole process.

congratz!

video one - looks nice there in Koh. I think the shots are great but they were held too long (on the timeline) I would of made them shorter but nonetheless the shots of the cows were fantastic. I somehow don't want to go in the water now lol

Are you uploading them all here? I may join you on this challenge... or I may just upload as many as I can do lol
Glenn Thomas    June 03, 2009 01:03 PM

Yes, I know they probably do drag on a bit. I just wanted to keep them as is. Actually, more likely I left them long to fill my minimum 2 minute quota for this personal challenge I'm putting myself through!

Oh well, it's a start. I prefer the 2nd video, although I'm not happy with how I mixed it.

And yes, I'll be uploading them all here, and everywhere else eventually. Uploading takes forever! I've got smaller versions for Vimeo so I don't exceed their limit, haha.

2 min?

lol you didn't say you had a time minimum hehehehe that makes it more impressive.
I love the spider as well you did a good job considering the footage.

Thanks.. Yes, 2 minutes. The idea being that I'll have at least an hours worth of material by the end of the month if I set the minimum length to 2 minutes per video.

The spider one is my favourite so far :)
