This is a more finessed assembly of Scene Eight of the trailer. Gavan has generously put the time and effort in to tidy things up and make a more plausable assembly than mine was.

Origination was on the Silicon Imaging SI2K camera system. Lenses were Cinema Products Ultra T* Super16 capable primes and Sigmatel for Nikon 135mm f1.8.

Initial colour grade was done on Adobe Premiere CS3, with Prospect4K, then exported to Blackmagic and cut in that codec to overcome some system limitations in dealing with the 2K workload.

Dialogue sound was to SI2K camera via Sound Devices Mix-Pre fed with Rode directional mike and recorded as mono, split to two channels with bracketted levels. Tractor sound was via Sony TCD10ProII DAT with Sony directional mikes as equal stereo channels. Capture of DAT audio to computer was via Lynx Studio Technology Lynx One system for Windows. Tractor sound cleanup was done in Cool Edit Pro.

Ron. Thank you for your complimentary comments.

We have had the good fortune of having a proper DP with 35mm film experience helping out with camera direction and assembly/edit, hence the improvement you observe over my usual form.

Great! Cinema look and feel was achieved here through and through!
the dolly shot was great.

Im in Perth too, we should catch up sometime, share tips on using the Letus Rig

Liam.

Thanks for your favourable comments. The dolly shot was done with a P+S Technik Skater rolling on three painters trestles covered with MDF panel, levelled and dug into the soil.

We also used it on the Elizabethan Village shoot but the action timing was off and the actual dolly roll was edited out.

Am making arrangements to shoot a short Australian scene for the "Seeking Closure" directors in the US at one of the local wildlife refuges. Their pre-prod promotional trailer can be found here if you search for Seeking Closure or Inner Glow Pictures.

I crewed on a commercial for the Fauna Rehabilitation Foundation in Malaga so may ask them for location access as it is closer for my actors than Martin where the original intended location is.

My young actors from Fox Featherweight are willing to participate. Hopefully if all the rabbits fall into the hat I will schedule it for three weeks hence on a weekend.

We will likely shoot it on the EX1.
