You asked for daylight footage, so here it is. It was all shot using AWB. I didn't apply any color correction during editing.

I edited FullHD in iMovie 08 and exported in 720p30 H.264 as described in my http://www.knowledge-download.com/iMovie_08_Guide/

I'm NOT trying to prove which is better as I have both camcorders and offer eBooks on both: http://www.knowledge-download.com/JVCHD7/ and http://www.knowledge-download.com/Sony-SRCX/ I think it's much more interesting how close they are.

Please place in COMMENTS which shot number (1 through 16) comes from camcorder A or B. Camera A is the one you think is "better." As you see each clip, just write down A or B.

NOTE: resolution is lost by the uploading and downloading process.

I hate to say this, but ...

I hate to say this, but not even close.

If you read reviews, you know the JVC got poor reviews while the Sony got great reviews. Yet, in this simple comparison, it's not EZ to tell one from the other.

Why does this matter? Because the JVC, unlike the Sony, has full manual controls.
