This was the launch of a 3.5G HSPDA wireless broadband in our country. We have been very bandwidth deficient for the past 3-4 years working only with avg speeds up to 786kbits. Hopefully, this will change all that. This is a 230MB file being uploaded with a 512kbit line so its gonna take a while.
Shot with a combination of 720p and 1080p resolutions and cut in FCP, graded in MB and added some special effects with GenArt's Sapphire. The ending is a bit abrupt and was planning to end it with a fade in and out of the 3G provider's logo but since they werent paying me for this :) best not to.
The first half of the clip was shot handheld/shoulder mount with the famous el-cheapo shoulder mount recommended by the now famous Phillip Bloom. The break indicated by the panning sunset was left ungraded to show a break into tripod territory.
This clip is dedicated to the guys and gals at DST com for their support and hard work in pushing our internet access to a new level.

Also, this clip at certain areas show the dreaded rolling shutter effects of the EX1 caused by flashes from cameras.

Nicely done!
Good one mate. And thanks for the dedication too. We here at DST are determined to get everyone on the Go! and revolutionized the online culture here in Brunei ;)

David,

I for one couldn't tell this to be hand held except for some moves that would have been very difficult to pull off using a tripod.

I like the grading in the first half. Very "business" or "corporate" feel.

So what is the upload bandwidth when using the 3.5G HSPDA? FYI: Most households (and some offices) in the US have the speeds you mention. Infact upload speeds are actually 384kbps.

Shiv. Its about the same. I've not yet subscribed to it but the reports are an avg of 300 kb.

this is too much man... the crisp, definition, composition as in everything just floors me. one of the best ive seen where it is engaging and mind wrecking.
