Just some quick tests and comparisons of handheld vs FigRig. The Rig allows small form factor cams to produce footage similar to shoulder mounts plus more.

Hi David! the FigRig looks very interesting. It's difficult to use it? Have you tested it with ex1 + letus?

thanks
marz

No.. its pretty easy to use. Just lock the mount on the camera and slide it in. I recommend getting at least 4 of the accessory mountings though. I ordered mine with two and find i need at least another two more. Shotgun mic, lights, wireless reciever and one for a clap to lock on to my tripod for quick release.
Mind you, this is not a glidecam. It doesnt make your footage float but it does significantly stabilize the rotational and lateral movements on the small camera.
As for the Letus.. not yet. I'v not had time to try but I saw a youtube footage of someone using it with a letus on its rails and resting the rails on his shoulder so it serves a secondary purpose as a shoulder-mount as well. I think it would be difficult to focus properly with the letus because the lenses are far in front.

thank David for the info. Now I'll look for the letus footage on youtube. I agree with you, it will be usable only with wide lens for focusing problems.
