Saluting all of the US Veterans of my family and my friends, spanning the time from the American Civil War 1861-65, the Spanish American War 1898-99, the Philippine Insurrection 1901-12, the Great San Francisco Earthquake 1906, the Pancho Villa Expedition 1916, World War I 1914-18, World War II 1941-45, the Korean War 1950-53, the Viet Nam War, and the War in Iraq, with special emphasis placed upon the fighting crew of CVL-23 USS Princeton, which was lost in action in the Battle for Leyte Gulf, 24 October 1944 (2nd Battle of the Philippine Sea) - both those who survived and those who went down with the ship.
