Vama Veche - The last village on the Black Sea coast of Romania is a place of freedom, love and music. Thousands of people gather each summer to have fun, enjoy music, live in tents and lie completely naked on the beach. An annual musical festival named Stufstock takes place each summer in this remote village and it tends to become the East version of Woodstock.

The documentary will follow the events for a period of 5 years and will show how people live and have fun in the place known as a hot spot for hippies.

I estimate that i will be ready for broadcast in Spring 2011.

Main musical theme is composed by Ulli Brand member of the Farfarello and the song is called Vama Veche. I will also have present in footage and music: Stefan Wiesbrock, Defunkt, Trigon, Farfarello, Nippy Noya,Kumm, Konqistador, Kultur Shock and many others.

You can leave comments and impressions in English and Romanian on my blog here:

excelent....been there....

what camera did you used?
Jorj Theodorescu    February 06, 2009 05:41 PM

Thank you. : )

I used a Sony Z1 but i am not satisfied with it. I do not intend to use it anymore. In search for a new one. Do not know which one yet. Searching.

Z1 It has 3 main problems from my point of view:

1. It does not do HD progressive. Only interlaced.

2. Sound! When you add another mike on it (boom for example)it does not use camera's one mike to get a secondary channel. You normally want to have two audio channels so i was forced beside adding a boom to add another microphone on to the camera. Terrible! When you are a video journalist and do all by yourself you need to try and have as less equipment as possible.

3. Reaction time: when you want to be fast in everything and want to capture all you think is necessary, it is mandatory to have a camera that works fast. For me those few seconds from the moment i pressed the record button until it actually start recording was way too long! I have been missing a lot because of that... and yes i went into the settings to change there what was need it.

that's it.

What camera do you use yourself?

I have watched your clips and enjoyed esspecially the one with sport.
