Trex 450 Set-up Combo #3 Experiment.
The best "playback" for most PC's and there speed connection is just in the "MD" mode for this video...
Trying another set-up with the Trex 450 from what I'am normally use to and that was with the Scorpion -6 V2 525 watt Scorpion motor and a Castle 80 amp esc, and a normally bigger 35c 2200 mah lipo which the craft normally weighs about 832 grams RTF...
This set-up now consists of losing nearly 100 grams, using now a 40 amp Kontronik Jazz 40-6-18 esc, a smaller 300 watt Align 430L 3550 kv motor with a 13t pinion, and throwing in a Parkzone 3-cell 1800 mah 15c older lipo from one of my planes. This bring the weight down in the video RTF for the Trex 450 to then 741 grams.
A lighter craft, but the Align 300 watt 3550 kv motor still lacks the torque and punch like my Scorpion 4400 kv motor on a 11t or 12t pinion, and also doesn't even compare to my Common-Sense RC 3500 kv 500 watt motor on a 13t pinion. But the Align 430L is still a good motor for sport flying like I do anyhow...
- Align 430L 3550kv 300 watt motor with 13t pinion.
- Kontronik Jazz 40-6-18 esc running in governor mode.
- AR6100 W/ DX7.
- GY401 W/ Futaba 9257 W/ Align 5.1 stepdown regulator.
- Hitec HS-65 MG's for cyclic.
- 320mm CF SAB main blades.
- Microheli head assembly, grips, & swash
- Microheli CNC canopy mounts, boom support rod mounts & bracket.
- CP-Pro flybar paddles. (3.87 grams ea).
4:15 minutes of flight time with the 1800 mah 15c 3-cell lipo and I "put back" 1252 mah.
+ 8% expo on Aile, Ele, and +15% on rudder...
Oh........! About the 2:15 mark, since it was raining very lightly, a waterdrop hit my camera lens, and so its a bit blurred.
