A native of New Jersey, Isidra Person-Lynn studied English at Union college in Schenectady, New York where it was freezing cold most days. She migrated toward the sun to California to attend USC for her Master of Arts degree in journalism. She studied print, but her career has been primarily in radio, public relations and now video story-telling.

Her radio career spanned from 1986-1995 at KACE, where she hosted Sunday Morning Live, a radio magazine. She started her company House of the Rising Sons PR in 1995, and her major clients included the Los Angeles Black Business Expo and Trade Show, UHP Healthcare and Watts Healthcare. She also provided public relations for T.H.E. Clinic, Inc. as well as a number of other exciting projects and affiliations along the way.

As an educator, Isidra has taught interns, journalism students, and more unofficially. She served as an instructor at West Los Angeles College for five years where she taught Business Communications and Developmental English. She most recently taught iLife to the students at Crenshaw High School for a special program titled Mother of Many. She also assists her husband with his classes for adults –Afrikan World Civilizations and Black History 4 Young People.

Currently, her clients include Johnson Products Company, Inc., Nature’s Essential Ingredients, and House of the Rising Sons Media Group. She is a freelance writer and maintains a number of blogs, photo and video galleries as well as as her Blogtalk radio show titled “OurWorldPodcast.”

She is happily married to Kwaku Person-Lynn, fondly known as Dr. Kwaku and they have five sons, for whom her company is named.
