I was hired by Pilot Consulting Group to shoot and edit the holiday commercial for JL Coombs, a local shoe retailer here in Maine and other parts of New England. The principal photography was completed in one day using the Canon 7D. There was no dialogue which was a big help in both production and post-production. I used my tripod slider, IDC Follow Focus, and brand new SmallHD DP6 monitor for this shoot. I have to say the DP6 performed great for both me and the client during the shoot. I have to thank Chuck Eldridge and Joel Osgood for their expertise as Gaffer and Key Grip during the shoot.
