Kind of a music video. Footage was shot from the rehearsal, some from the actual event and rest from the day after. Not quite what I had intended but think its ok. I was contracted to cover as a photographer for the actual event so much of the shooting then was by my colleague, Irwan Lois. Music is by Lily from her CD, Together. This one is called I Belong.

David,

I love the style of this video and the fact that you were able to mix in footage from rehearsals, actual and after. The lighting and slow motion and colors looked terrific.

The music itself was quite pleasing, but I’m not sure I could relate the visuals to the music. I guess when you see someone playing music you expect it to sync up or something.

Thanks.. yeah.. like i said.. not quite what i wanted.. i had syncing in mind but none of the footage captured matched the music being played. Even for the concert itself, my colleague was restricted in movement and we couldnt get the scenes we wanted (similar to the rehearsal) because another company doing the telecast wanted priorities for their own crew. We made do with what we could do.

You've got to make do with what you have :)

I love the editing of this piece, with the fades and the technique of placing one image over another. I also like the shots going back and forth between the stage people and the musicians. It makes the production seem like one great "community" affair. It's put to very inspirational music by Lily.

In spite of the constraints that you mentioned in your comments, it comes out very nicely, David.
