This is a trailer for a DVD I am currently editing. It's about the 2008 waterski under 21 European Championships that took place in Tampere, Finland.

I have tons of footage and I had only an hour to edit it in order to present it at the final night banquet so it's a little rough and not graded... But I don't want to fix it now, I rather work on the actual DVD and upoload this rough trailer in the meantime.

What a great video! What a wonderful sport. Flying through the air! I never wanted to try waterskiing so much in my whole life.

Ok, There are a few shots where you've got them going full speed (faster?) then slow it way down for the actual jump - very cool. What sort of shutter speed were you using?

Also, can you talk to me about this DVD? Do you need the blessing of the competition organization to actually make it? Or, do you split the proceeds with them?

I've been thinking about filming some local motorsports events (moving cars instead of non-moving ones!) for a DVD project. Would I just approach the people in charge of the race and lay it out there?

This is some great camera work indeed! Very smooth pans and you've kept the subject perfectly within the frame.

Nice editing too.

Is this is mix of shoots using the Letus and stock camera lens or just the stock camera lens? (You haven't listed the equipment :)).

Most of the shots are with the Letus Extreme and some of them just the clean EX1. Sometimes it was just too challenging to pan, tilt, zoom, focus and adjust the exposure at the same time :)
