Built a box out of Lexan and mounted it to a paintball gun for a day to see if it is practical. Made this long mix out of the usable footage shot during that day. Wasn't expecting usable footage at all (was expecting the box to break because I made it...)

I would say the entire camcorder setup makes the gun very heavy, in addition to bad viewing angles due to camera being mounted below the barrel. I suggest anyone else wanting first person perspective footage of paintball games to use a helmet camera instead of a gun camera.
