Today I pulled my first chroma Key with the EX-1. I used footage previously shot with the camera and setup a green screen in my living room with lights. I used two lights on the green screen and a soft box on my. All in all, I am pleased with the results. Edited in Final Cut Pro and dvMatte 1.5 for the key work.

I am working on it! This was the first Chroma Key I have done with the EX-1. I am adding a bit of music and using Color to correct some of the brightness issues. With all that stuttering, it's hard to believe that AI once was a PM Magazine co-host!

The chroma key looks great, it's the audio you need to work on :) Maybe a decent tie clip mic might help?

I appreciate your comments. I agree on the audio. I have mics out the wazoo here, the goal was a quick test of the video and chroma key. I used a shotgun mike in my tiled living room and it is really bouncy in there. If I were going to do a real shoot, I would have uses my Sennheiser wireless lapel mics. The whole thing was just an ad-lib to eat up some time in front of the camera. One thing led to another when I pulled the key in post and I was stuck with shameful audio!

Phil, that does sound quite bouncy for a shot gun. I did some sound recording on a feature film recently and was using the Rode NTG. Great mic that one. The Sennheiser wireless lapel mics are nice too. I've used them also.

Yep, it sure does. Remember, all I wanted to do was test the Chroma Key. I really had no intention of producing this and posting. I was impressed with the key and wanted to share it with you all. I have a Rode K2 tube mic in my studio I use for VO work and twi Sennheiser EK100's for talent work. I could have put those on the camera and the sound would have been much improved. This was a last minute thought about throwing up a green screen and seeing what the key would look like. I guess that is what happens when you have too much time on your hands.
