District 38 Off Road Rattlesnake Chase 9-21-08 I just wanted to think all the people that showed to help. What a community D38 is. I happened to be about 50 yards up the track filming the turn the racers had to do. I didn't realize it was a bad spot, I just wanted to get some sliding action in the "S" turn. Instead, what I've always dreadded was catching my own brother going down, or anyone else for that matter. I couldn't tell who it was, it was soooo dusty and too far away, I thought the person got up and kept going, but after the dust settled from the first wave he was still there. I set my camera down and ran to help if I could. And there was Todd sitting on his bum in the dirt and #12R Doc Middleton, was directing the next wave away. I tried to call back to the pits but no answers. Later I found out #115x Ryan Sampson went back for help, thanks bud I hope you finished well. I think people like you should get extra points added to your finish. The calvary showed up pretty quickley. I'm glad to see so many caring people volunteering their time, to take care of you racers. Todd broke his right humerus bone all the through, almost breaking the skin, no surgery was needed and should heal okay.
My footage had to be dumbed down to match the H.C. footage. Oh yeah sorry for the dust on my lens, I'm trying to filter it out. This was a quick edit.
