Nice stuff.
Is the aspect ratio off? Everything looks kind of squished.
Did you get permits to shoot in the park?

I don't go anymore since Stacy the parks film permit officer wanted to nail me for several grand this past winter to go shoot on a tour.

Ray,

This is a beautiful film! You've capture these animal really well. The opening shot is amazing too. I love how the the sounds can be heard so clearly. It's like you're right there.

I'm really glad you've been persistent in getting the aspect ratio correct. I hope that article helped.

Thanks also for the description you've provided. It realy helps to appreciate the work and effort it's taken to make this.

You should probably add Yellowstone as a tag for this.

Ray, this is a beautiful piece. Yellowstone is one of my most favorite places in the world yet few have captured it the way I see it...I think we all have our unique experiences there. I feel a kinship with your vision...this is how I see Yellowstone.

There are a few things that distracted me. The color is a little uneven in the shots so I'd suggest doing a little color work on that just to help the shots go together better. For instance, there was a feeling in the edit like everything was happening at one time when you showed the bison and then went to that great shot of the bear. The bear shot has a blue cast and it took me out of the moment.

Also, the sound is a little jarring in some shots. It just sort of jumps out and upsets the serenity of the music. I'd suggest doing quick fade ins and outs for those shots and taking the overall level down to make it more ambient rather than dominate the music.

Other than that, my friend, I look forward to seeing more of your work. You have an enormous talent.

I'm also curious about your thoughts coming from a film background to video.
