!Viva la revolucion! It seems that in this day and age of ever changing technology, it is only a matter of time before someone or some company turns around and introduces the next greatest leap forward in technology. This year has seen some amazing new developments in the world of cinema, with the introduction of the RED camera and it’s new groundbreaking quality and price point they are poised to reshape the workflow of feature films and post houses everywhere. Just as the RED camera is beginning to change the high-end market of the industry, another small company is preparing to do the same with in the 35mm adapter market. Several years ago if you wanted to attach a 35mm lens to your camera your only option was to go with the P&S Technic adapter. At about $10,000 this was out of the reach of most small budget filmmakers. P&S has since released a version for small format, mini-dv style cameras that comes in at about $6,000. But this lower price tag is still out of the reach of many in the indi-market. So a slew of people and companies sprang up to bridge the gap between the quality of what you could build yourself, and the prices offered by the industry standard in 35mm adapters - P&S Technic.
