What if one swab of your saliva could determine you being able to save a child’s life?

Would you take it? What if you were the only person out of THOUSANDS of people that could save a child’s life?

Do you realize how special you are?

Wouldn’t you want to make a difference in someone’s life?

These are the SIMPLE questions I am asking you…As you could be that divinely appointed person to save a child or adult’s life. Please get tested today at a bone marrow drive near you. Visit www.marrow.org to find out more and to look up local drives going on in your area TODAY!

As you watch this video, I pray that something in your heart gets stirred. That you will see that the problems you face in your life are NOTHING compared to what this family is going through. It makes your complications look silly and not worthy of bothering you. Please, I ask you to spread this video around to as many people you can and help save lives!

Below is the main version of James Christopher’s video we produced. You will see below different versions you can spread around. You have a choice to show a short version, a church version, or the main one. Also if you can’t use the embed code, be sure to click on the youtube versions (once available) that you can send out in emails and other forms of media.

Very beautiful! I just don't understand why the organization would make donors pay for a kit... after first 10k....

Yeahh

Yeah I understand totally they are very weird about it.
After a certain number they give away they make the family pay over $50.00 per kit!
Its really sad how they do things!

Joshua, this video is very well made. Very touchinging indeed. Doesn't make sense why donors should have to pay anything. That's a deterent right there.

Was that the Christopher's mothers voice?

The thumbnail is very touching! Nice work on this!! I loved the warm tones.

I really liked the shots you got but I am sorry to say, I really disliked the voiceover on multiple levels. The pacing was so dragged out, I found it hard to listen to. The tone of the voiceover was so pained that it felt overly acted, manipulative and unnecessary. The message speaks for itself without banging people over the head. I also didn't care for the reverb used. Usually voiceovers have a fairly dry feel which is more natural to my ear.

I really am sorry to be so harsh but this is my true reaction to this piece as I was watching it.

I totally agree with Steven about the VO, but I have to say that I liked the composition and the colors in it. I watched it first time with voice and the second time muted and it looked much better the second time.

I have to echo Steven Dempsey's comments as well. This video would have been much more effective (for me) by either losing the VO entirely OR having someone else do a less cloying version of it. I kept being reminded of the Sally Struthers late-night pitches of "Won't you please help?". I think you have to be SO careful to not overdo the Compassion Quotient in a message such as this.

Good cause and very nice work image wise. But, VO much to emotional! Also, to make this video trustworthy, some of the close-up face expressions of the boy, which does not seem genuine, should have been left out. This kind of message requires a very delicate sence of balance or it might have a negative outcome.

I began filming at the age of thirteen for the Sunday services at my church. The next year I was approached to film a friend's wedding and through that experience, I realized that I had a passion for capturing unforgettable moments on film. Soon after, at the young age of fourteen, I opened my first videography business with an emphasis on filming weddings.
