I wanted to capture a Crysalis from a Monarch Butterfly hatching. I got two that were ready to go (They turn black just before hatching- Thanks to my Mother for collecting them in her yard). . . Then I set up the EX1 on interval recording- one frame every twenty seconds. Turns out Crysalis's hatch really fast! The close up of the timelapse Crysalis hatching in the video had to be slowed way down. The next day while I was filming a "three-shot" of a catapillar, the second un-hatched Crysalis and the newly hatched butterfly - the second Crysalis suddenly hatched before my eyes! It all happened so quickly I had trouble re-focusing!
