"SONS OF PITCHES"
"Sons of Pitches" was an acappella singing group based in Ithaca, New York that specialized in old-time, humourous, popular, pretty, and any other sort of song that struck their fancy. The group performed numerous concerts and put out some recordings before breaking up - and some of its members have since gone on to singing careers on their own.
In shooting this video, I was limited by the flat stage lighting, by the inability to move either of the two cameras around due to the overflow attendance, and by having to sit next to the woman who hired me on one side (who often adjusted her digital camera, which "beeped") and a kid on the other (whose seat I provided if he would promise not to get up, not to cross in front of me, and not to bump my tripod, all of which he did...). In addition, I took a sound feed from the house mixing console, not knowing that microphone checks would be made during the performance that would leave those mics "dead" for me during the checks. And, finally, I lost a frame from one of the best pieces that was still left in the edit while making this ER version. But, with much editing, there was still enough left for a video...
