During my visit to china in april 2008 I shoot some footage (by hand) in Shanghai. It shows the lower and higher area. Quite a big contrast.

Hans,

I thought you had some nice visual there. Personally, I'd re-edit this and keep it really short using the best visuals from this. I'd also crush the blacks and high and then if need be boost the colors in most of the outdoor shots.

Hi Shiv,
Thank you for your comments. That's also one of the the reasons I post it here. I am in a learning process so to speak. Actually I begun to re-edit it this weekend and will replace it soon and show realy contrast about this city. (Trying avoid to waist time trying my new ex 1). It's now to much the same and I have plenty of footage. Honestly it was mentioned to be a part one and two etc. more documentairy than a short. However I wil boost the short as it is now and make it more attactive to keep watching (not disapointing the viewer)and also improve the image. If you have any advice regarding to increase the image quality itself I am really interested about your advice (you give already some)
Kind regards, Hans

Hi Hans,

Look forward to the new edit!

Some things to note:
1. When you have a new edit, choose to "Update" this video, rathern than "Upload New Asset". Doing this will keep the view count, comments, rating etc. intact.
2. If think you need to better understand what bitrate and such to upload videos here, please take a look at this blog post
3. In order to better understand how to set up tags, equipment etc. you might want to look at this blog post.

By the way forgot to mention that I really liked the shot in the aircraft when you get up from your seat!

Hi Shiv,
Good advice always welcome....that bitrate ..next I go for the 720p. I have procoder for that ...it's only a litle bit slow..1920x1080P renders on x 0.10
Actually it's one of my colleques from the technical department..It gives an impression of the business class of KLM forgot the tag, just thinking ).Unlikely got no permit for the cockpit that would be nice..maybe next time.

Yea, I doubt that in today's day and age (What with all this terrorist stuff going around) that you'll get permission to "shoot" in the cockit :).

What airline was that where they let you use a video camera in-flight?
hans van enkhuijzen    July 14, 2008 02:59 PM

That was KLM, but it was not allowed in the cockpit.
