This is a short edited out of 14 hours of footage I took between 2005 and 2007 in Iceland. I want to show a land of contrast: The beautiful and rough landscapes, appearing just like after the Genesis of the planet. Giant glaciers and innumerable hot springs. Phenomenal waterfalls and endless plains with nothing but dust and pebbles. And in harsh contrast the high tech use of geothermal energy, providing an endless source of energy and wealth for a small nation, which was thereby pitchforked from Europe's poorhouse to a wealthy society in a few decades. A land of contrasts, right in the middle between Europe and America, constantly facing the unpredictable activities of huge volcanic activities.
