Hi all!  I'm new to Exposure Room so I figured I'd get my feet wet with a blog.  I've wanted to make movies since I was a little kid, framing fly-by's of my toy STARSHIP ENTERPRISE in my mind's eye.  I bugged my parents for a Hi8 camera as a teenager and started making videos with friends, dubbing music over by running the camera to a DVD player, and running the picture and audio to a VCR.

 

In college I moved on to MiniDV, and now I've taken up with that mistress, the video capable DSLR.

 

As I continue to make shorts for fun and build my freelance business, I'll be dropping in to discuss the praises and pitfalls of these inexpensive little gems and the workflow one builds around them.
