Joe, A Great piece of work and by everyone involved superb performances by the actors, I learnt alot on this day and my thanks to you and Philip for allowing me to help out. Stunning work and I know how hard this is to do.

The film scripting, directing and acting was every bit up to snuff with a big budget Hollywood drama. The subject matter was handled in a thoughtful and provoking manner. The use of suspense and gradual revelation was brilliant.
My ONLY gripe was with the dialog audio--it sounded as if the actors were speaking through toilet paper roll cores, due to a very dominant narrowband boost around 900Hz that just hit me wrong right from the very start. Everything else was fantastic.

Joe, I really enjoyed this film. It was deeply disturbing and almost creepy in some scenes, particularly when coupled with the very effective soundtrack.

A very difficult subject to tackle well but you managed it. This is good work on so many levels.

This has to be one of the best performances I have seen from Robert Duncan. Watching Casualty, I could never stop thinking about Drop the Dead Donkey. Perhaps that was just bad casting. In this he is truly believable. A very nice performance well supported by both his fellow actor and the crafts. Congratulations to all. What plans do you have for the short?

I hope to enter the film into some festivals and see if we can get it shown a bit. We'll see how it's received...

Hi.
I would like to comment on Mark's observations about the sound.

The original sound track was mixed in 5.1, a stereo mix is on its way. So its possible that rear speaker coloration and ambient effects are causing a problem listening to it in stereo. At the start they are in an enclosed space surrounded by stone and metal and I did not want that up front radio sound, but to alter the perspective to match the location and shot size. It sounded fine on my pC, great on my 5.1 tannoy monitors, and home surround sound.

I did not want to compromise the overall surround sound by making it 100% stereo compatible. Also there was little eq done to the dialogue except take off LF below 150HZ and put in a bit of presence at 8.5Khz or so as the radio mikes had to be buried as it was very windy. I am not a fan of radio mikes but we had to use them in this instance although the boom was in the mix on the close-ups.

Great work, acting was first class, a great 15mins, the twist is true british cinema. My only professional comment would be it would work good in black and white.
