You can change – Shot on the South Bank. This was unplanned short and my thanks go to Philip Bloom one for his cameo appearances but also allowing me to tag along this day. We had a few permission problems with security but they were resolved which then allowed limited access to shoot so both he and I took advantage I shot this short and Phil was doing other footage for something else. Set to the music of ‘Bitter Sweet Symphony’ by The Verve. Thank you also to everyone for their support on my last short If I lay here – Enjoy this one the next is in pre-production

I think we're going to have to take this video down as it is inappropriate for the viewer (Just kidding).

There are lots of shots I like in this video. The last few shots of that couple (even though the backlight made it hard to see), capturing them at a very emotional moment was pretty cool.

You got some other classic/candid moments (the guys eating his ice cream). I didn’t know that Ferris wheel (or whatever it’s called) was that big, as in each capsule housed many people. Is it the same one we see in Phil’s South Bank? I loved the front lit shots or shots that had sunlight. I guess the Sun is unpredictable in the UK so you couldn’t help it. But I’m curious, was the backlight your intent?

I found the exposure kept shifting during a shot (in some shots), for example the shot of the two girls starting @ 00:55.

Few highlights for me:
1. Opening shot.
2. Loved the shot @1:12 of the woman with her camera
3. Shots @ 3:17, 3:41,3:46, @ 3:50, great angle and composition.
4. Shot @ 3:53, I *really* wanted to see more of that girl’s reaction ?
5. Shots of the couple at the end.

I do find “scan lines” (or Interlace line kind of thing). Very obvious in the shots of the couple at the end. What’s with that?

Hi Shiv....That ones for the security guys right Phil?

The shadows are more important than the detail. The wheel is the London eye and yes it the same one, shame about the security it runnied some of the better shots.

Exposure was a pain shooting into the sun. I decided not to correct this in post.

1.2.3 - Thanks
4. I can't share that!
5. I liked this and I lifted the exposure manually to reflect the tender moment at the end.

Backlight was my intention all the way...

Scan lines?? was de-interlaced original fine.... wan't to go offline on that?

>for the security guys

Oh, I see, then we;ll keep it :).

Yes, I thought I'd ask about the backlight. The little that I know of you I guessed there was an intent. With someone like me, it could very well have been a mistake :)

Not sure if you got my other message (I was testing some stuff using Opera) about the interlace artifiacts...

Beautiful
I have not gone through all of your work, however out of the three films I have veiwed this one is my favorite, many of these shots have taken my breath away. I truly enjoy they way you reveal the character of those that you filmed. There is much soul on this short. You have really inspired me.
Thank You!
