This video is a master piece! I'm assuming you recorded the sound of thunder and overlayed it on the video during edit? Was that the actual sound. All the time lapse shots are superb.

By the way, you should probably set the HDV flag for this video since it is HDV.

Yes, the thunder was overlaid on the clouds footage.
Slow motion is kind of my thing. :)
I'm a 60fps junkie. :)

It's not HDV it's HD. There's a difference. Now if you had a HD tag, I'd use that. :)

Yes, you're correct about the HD versus HDV :) I've just found most people use them interchangeably. I guess we should change it to HD huh?

I like the second shot of clouds time lapse too your timing was perfect for catching the sun light on those clouds.

You mention 60fps, but it's this stuff (the clouds) time lapse? The waves crashing against the rocks - I assume that's shot at 60fps and played back at 30? Or was it simply slowed down in post?

The clouds are time lapse. Most everything else is 60fps. It's the default setting on my camera when I turn it on. :)
To me being able to watch things in slow motion gives you an opportunity to study something that you normally never see like that.
To watch the intricate patterns and movement of the water at 60fps is like a symphony to me.

Yup,
Slow motion in those scenes really makes a difference. So you shoot at 60fps. Is the 60p or 60i in your camera? Then in post do you have to do something special, or it's just that your project is a 30i project that automatically makes it appear slow?
