Short film done to test the Roto Razor 2 of the SGBlade.

Had a few problems, all my fault. First off let dust in when changing the element which you can see on a couple of shots, secondly I had knocked the speed knob right down accidentally and shot most of the time on minimum speed meaning the pattern of the ground glass was visible (you can see in some shots) and also had hideous flickering. None visible in EX1 LCD at the time. Only on Mac when got home. So a good lesson learnt!

I had to trash over 80% of the footage as it was unusable.

I think this has a nicer Bokeh but Razor 1 is sharper.

Graded with Magic Bullet looks. All vignettes done in post.

3 Lenses used. Nikon f2.8 17-35mm. Nikon f2.8 80-200mm. Hartblei Shift Tilt 85mm

wow, looks great

If this is 20% of the footage, then damn, you really are a good shooter. I thought it looked great and didn't notice any of the stuff you mentioned while watching it. Nice place too. Weiss

edge to edge a little off but very nice shots mate.

Beautiful! And as always I love your choice of music. Curious whether the burnt out highlights in the water were a result of the grade, or due to the compression?

Cheers Armin. Was deliberate over exposure to make the water white out as it washed over the pebbles! Somebody has been very harsh and given it a 3 out of 5! Ouch!

What a meany! ;-) I'll help with a 4!

Too bad you had to select from little footage, yet i still think the images look superb. Your framing is always very original, and even dramatic in many cases. The over-exposed water highlights are a wonderful effect to me. It's easy to get the atmosphere of the moment watching, and the textures come out as very tangible to me.

Nice to see Bexhill in a normal way for once, cause i've only seen it in Children of Men.

Thanks for sharing, Philip, and my impression from your first short with the SGBlade has been confirmed again.
