Brilliant!

I thought that this short was just lovely. It's like we get to see into the life of some retired guy, but all of the wonderful details involved.

You know, now that I'm thinking about it and trying to put my thoughts and feelings into words I'm realizing that maybe this video is about all of the simple pleasures in life. Tiny, wonderful things. I like clean teeth, and I like to be clean shaven, I like toast made just the way I like.

A shallow depth of field makes things so much more interesting. This was a beautiful piece. My favorite shot is of MAN sitting on the bench in the park. He's in the center of the frame, arms out out on the bench back, leg crossed - sitting there like a king. It looked so peaceful. Like that is the perfect place for him to be right then and he loves it.

Philip,

Out of all your wonderful video's, this is by far my favorite. I have watched it many times and have shown it to people as an example of what true artistry is to me. I am sorry that I didn't comment earlier on this. The way you captured your father (my assumption) really drew me in.
