VERY simple video shot on EX1 and Brevis XL. I discovered that the Brevis operates very differently to the Letus Extreme on the EX1. I will be more ambitious and get better images next time.

Vignette's done in post. Colour grade was done using Magic Bullet.

Stuck Like Glue

Really like little Neddy & Mate with finger routine @ 1. 27. The new generation of movers and shakers no doubt!!

Very contrasty. It seems like this new Brevis still has a tendency for blown colours? (unless you say it's Magic Bullet?)

I'm not sure if i like the Brevis based on this footage. The image seems very crisp (there used to be an opinion on it being too soft, certainly near the edges). But i'll be waiting until your next shoot to see whether it holds up next to the Letus.

Thanks for sharing, Philip. If it weren't for you, i wouldn't even know about 35mm adapters.
Steven Dempsey    October 26, 2008 11:09 PM

I agree with Willem. I'm also not crazy about the bokeh. It seems to have an even more exaggerated diffused look than the Extreme. Are you finding this to be the case, Philip? How is the edge to edge sharpness?

Thanks for posting. I still don't know how you manage to shoot people like you do in public. I've tried it a few times and I get a lot of dirty looks. :)

i do prefer the extreme still but it's a good fix for people with existing brevis adaptors.

Who was the dude eating at the end? Was that another cameo by PB?? I liked the BW way better than the original version. Nice work...TR

Whoa! That looks like Mahmoud Ahmadinejad eating a sandwich at the end there!

Just like Mr. Dempsey asked, how are you able to film people all of the time? A lot of your shorts feature people, which are interesting as hell. How is this achieved?

Maybe people are more open to being filmed in the EU?
