After spending time with in the cities during my first visit to Siberia, this time I visited the local Khanty people, indigenous people of the Ugra region of Siberia, located very far away from the cities accessible only via sled.

This is a short film taken from a half hour that included some of this material.

All but two shots are done with the EX3 clean, using a Canon 20x HD lens.

Very beautiful Phil, even if maybe there is one too many right to left pan in this short. ;-) Very evocative, I bet this'll make a stunning half hour! What music did you use here? And what's that flash at 04:14?

thanks armin. someone annoyingly took a photo.

the pans were deliberate sylistic them shot to run throught this short.

I had to rap up warm and make a hot water bottle before watching this beautiful film. Siberia is indeed cold, but what a fabulous landscape for videography.

The blueish cast ... is that in-camera white balance control or magic bullet looks Philip? It adds to the feel that's for sure.

I love watching your creative filming ventures around the world - I've learnt a lot about videography and various places and most of all I've enjoyed that `Philip Bloom` eye for detail and presentation style you've become well known for.
