Completely done in 48hours.

Our group "Corkwood" left promptly after the draw Friday night and went to work. We concepted the story, character development, shooting boards, locations and logistics until very late Friday night. We began shooting Saturday morning on schedule at 7:00am sharp. By the end of Saturday shooting was complete. Editing started Saturday night and continued into the early hours of Sunday. Being exhausted, we took a three hour break and returned to editing at 6:30am Sunday morning. We were watching the clock very carefully to make sure we were on schedule. The time seemed to accelerate as soon at the hands struck 12:00pm. We finished the project and made it to the turn in destination on time. We were surprised to learn we were the first team to submit their film. 6:45pm. The cutoff for submission was 7:30pm.

Corkwood had a great time participating in the 48 Hour Film Project. We are looking forward to the 2009 competition.

Congratulations all on a brilliant achievement. I particularly liked the graphics and the lighting but also kudos for the sound design - which I see went unrewarded. I liked it and thought it contributed a lot to the finished piece.

Yes, Congratulation all. This is a really well made production all around. Thanks also for the description you've provided. It really helps to put things in context and to appreciate your efforts event more.

Keep up the good work!

Beautiful
This 48 film is absolutely incredible. Every aspect of this film is on point, the main actor is top-notch, the editing is impeccable and the thoughtfulness behind each shot is quite obvious. I cannot believe this was a 48 challenge film. Could you post the equipment software etc.. that was used? Thanks!

Nice job, guys. I thought that the sound was really great, and some of the choices of shots were great too. Very creative use of focus and framing. Well done.

loved it it seemed you used something like the xdcam or panansonic on p2 to get your slow shots???
Have shown the film to some friend they liked the colors, moods and the production design. However it seems like a 72 hour short rather than a 48!

Thanks!
Thanks guys for all the positive comments. We had a fun group on this short. I assure you, everything was completly accomplished in 48hours. We had nothing pre-set. Looking forward to doing another!
