Character - Alex or Alexis Foyt, hotel employee Completely done in 48hours. Our group "Corkwood" left promptly after the draw Friday night and went to work. We concepted the story, character development, shooting boards, locations and logistics until very late Friday night. We began shooting Saturday morning on schedule at 7:00am sharp. By the end of Saturday shooting was complete. Editing started Saturday night and continued into the early hours of Sunday. Being exhausted, we took a three hour break and returned to editing at 6:30am Sunday morning. We were watching the clock very carefully to make sure we were on schedule. The time seemed to accelerate as soon at the hands struck 12:00pm. We finished the project and made it to the turn in destination on time. We were surprised to learn we were the first team to submit their film. 6:45pm. The cutoff for submission was 7:30pm. Corkwood had a great time participating in the 48 Hour Film Project. We are looking forward to the 2009 competition.
