The film is a feature length documentary of the Carleton Place Canoe Club, the oldest continuously operating club in Canada, and one of the oldest in the world. It traces the club's 117 year history from its inception in 1893 to the exciting events of this past summer (2010). The Club's long history is fascinating, and the many individual stories are often inspiring, sometimes hilarious and always compelling. When a small town like Carleton Place can boast three two-time Olympians, many National Team members and several National Champions, that's truly something special! The film will be available initially on DVD this November with BluRay to follow. Efforts are under way to secure broadcast, though at this time nothing is finalized. The music used in this trailer is by SonicFire and SoundJay.com For more information, please visit our website http://newtonproductions.ca/canoeclub.html Thank you and enjoy!
