Michelle Brown    September 17, 2010 04:07 PM

So so so beautiful! The fog is so magical when seen this way. Wonderful work. LOVE the plane lights as well.
Tony Maeller    September 17, 2010 05:17 PM

Wow! Stunning work. Magical is definitely the right word.
Simon Christen    September 17, 2010 09:24 PM

Thanks guys. I'm glad you like it.
Shiv Kumar    September 18, 2010 11:21 PM

Simon, Incredible footage! I don't believe I've seen anything like it. It must be great to be able to go frequently to a place like this and get to see these kinds of sights.
Arjan de Graaf    September 19, 2010 08:26 AM

Wow!
petr petrov    September 19, 2010 05:49 PM

Amazing, thank you!

Thanks again guy! Shiv Kumar: Thanks a lot. Yea I went to the spots a lot and a lot of times the view didn't end up they way I was hoping for. So this is the combination of my favorite shots... I do feel very fortunate living in such a beautiful area.
Lawrence Stout    September 20, 2010 06:30 PM

Really great work, Simon. I used some time-lapse shots of SF in an ad campaign several years ago and wished I could have spent a few months shooting nothing else. You might be interested in some of Mike Flores's time-lapse stuff over on Vimeo. Looking forward to seeing your next project.

So beautiful and peaceful to watch! I would love to download it and put on my iphone, but the download link doesn't work?

Amazing, and beautifully calm in its movement, reminding me of the more peaceful scenes in Chronos, Koyaanisqatsi and others. A wonderful way to remember the music of the fog, being so far away now...

mesmerized

I found this particular compilation of time lapse photos to be absolutely riveting. The work is so beautiful. Each of them flow together so well, and the moonlit fog over the city is almost indescribable. Finally, the conclusion with the moon setting into the sea of vapors nearly brought me to tears. The song choice was perfect. Thank you for sharing your talent for seeking, recognizing, and so skillfully capturing the beauty of these places.

Unseen Sea indeed!

I created an account here just so I could comment. To echo what everyone else has said, this is amazing, amazing work. I've never seen better timelapse.

Moving!

Great work! Stunning! I live in the Bay Area, would you mind sharing the locations? Of course if you are selling this footage, then that should be your confidential information. Very inspiring! Hope you do more of these...

AMAZING! I have a view of the bay, from Berkeley, but this tops that anyday!

Beauty invented in a flow of the Time. Thanks a lot.

Inspiring

This is truly inspiring. You take a normal everyday city and make it appear as if it's in a fairytale. Very well done!
Felicia Gaddis    March 03, 2012 10:23 PM

Meditative!

I don't know if you meant it this way, but for me this video is a meditation on the beauty and grandeur of nature and the creative power of God.
