Zachary Fink
 

Bio

Zachary is the founder of Soul Fabric Films and the company’s principal producer, and cinematographer.

He received his BA in Cultural Anthropology from the University of Colorado in Boulder in 1998, and a Masters in Cultural Anthropology with a certificate in Ethnographic Filmmaking in 2003.  He then worked with acclaimed filmmaker Robert Gardner at Harvard University’s Film Study Center where he produced and directed the 40th anniversary DVD box-set edition of Gardner’s 1964 masterpiece, Dead Birds.

In 2004, Zachary received the prestigious Jacob K. Javits Fellowship with which he completed an MFA in Filmmaking in 2007 at California Institute of the Arts. In 2007, his feature length documentary Last Hat in Town premiered at the 30th Starz Denver Film Festival.  Zachary recently worked as the Director of Photography for a National Geographic television special about urban high school kids in New Orleans and is currently producing Beyond the Reef and Jr. Bull for Soul Fabric Films.

Zachary has traveled, lived, and worked in the South Pacific, Europe, and extensively in Central and South America. He makes his home in Boulder, Colorado
