A video I made promoting the island of Bohol.
Almost all shot with hd200 and hd100.

Both cameras used stock lens and a 35mm adapter. Butterflies used the Zoerk adapter with nikon 80-200mm.

some older footage comprising around 5-7 shots were SD using DVX100 then uprezzed.

Kumusta ka na?

Great camera moves. Superbly-edited. Wow. This just proves that "it's not about the camera" it's about the talent behind the camera that makes a great production.

Interestingly, I was living in Manila in 2000 and returned to the US later that year. My wife and I are thinking of moving back to either Bohol, or Cebu. We looked at property in Baguio recently, but it's getting too crowded, though I like the climate better. So it's the provinces of Bohol most likely for us.

I have a brother-in-law who is now working for ABS-CBN as a director and I hope he's striving to produce as good a quality as you've done here.

Anyway, just wanted to praise your terrific production values on this promotional piece.

Hello Mark,

Thank you for your compliments. Are you from the Philippines? I also happen to have produced the Promotional video of Cebu. If you wish I'll also post it here. In fact I did the promotional videos of the entire central Visayas. Still doing post on Negros Oriental. You're so fast in posting I was still looking for a thumbnail for this vid when you posted.

I do the real estate videos of ayalaland in the vis-min area so i know there are now good real estate options for you if you decide to settle here.

Ted, 'would love to see the Cebu video as well.
BTW, you're English is superb. Were you educated in the US?

I'm not from the Philippines, but my wife is. We spent some time there just prior to the turn of the century. I was doing research on marketing a line of broadcast equipment overseas at the time. But we actually resided in Taguig, near the end of the C-5 highway. Not a nice neighborhood. We traveled around Manila, from Baguio to Tarlac. Also visited the Taal Volcano. It was breezy and fairly comfortable at that location, but my wife's family were putting on sweaters and saying, "malamig!"

We plan to go back for a visit and to look at some real estate in a few years, when we get some savings accumulated. If we can rent out our house in the US and find an agent to act on our behalf, then we can seriously consider the relocation to the Philippines. The challenge is that I myself don't like living in subdivisions--I need space. I'm surrounded by 14 acres of wetlands here in the US and no neighbors nearby, which is great because I like my music loud and I don't see that habit going away any time soon. :) So we're thinking more in terms of a mountaintop rural area.

Anyway, glad to see some Filipino presense here on XR!

Thanks Romy. Interesting to see someone Using the mk2 here for wildlife.
There is an American nature/wildlife phog here in my island right now doing a shoot, also using the mk2. His name is Tim Fitzharris.

Ted.

A pleasure to look at as always. The focus pull along the wall icons - just what 35mm adaptors are for, complimenting and not over-used across the total project.

The new HD video-capable digital stills cameras are an exciting new development.

They have a way to go yet but there is good stuff being done on them as they are - probably the end of 35m adaptors over your way in the not so distant future.
