Thanks for the comments guys, this piece is ENTIRELY shot on the canon 7D! Editing and grading on EDIUS. Compositing and titles on AE.

Audio

How did you handle audio acquisition? I have worked with cameras that have balanced audio in for years. A little concerned about stepping into an audio AGC environment.
Nice to see longer form industrials using a HDSLR; very cinematic. I used a 5DMkII for b-roll acquisition and loved it.

Dave, I used an AKG shotgun mic mounted on , wait a sec- a DIY shock mount and Boom, recorded to a ZOOM h4n.

Growing up in the hood, I learned how to rig together some stuff in my day (mostly with duct tape and electrical tape). I think the work Ted-Rigged is going to be coined some day... ;)

If your getting a 7D, 5D, 1D or any DSLR... you need a Zoom h4n and a good shotgun. Feels like going back to film.
