This film was made as a companion piece to my photographic project "Lost Land" and is concerned with coastal erosion under the government policy of "managed retreat with no intervention". This policy appears to ignore problems caused by intervention further along the coast, problems caused by dredging for aggregate extraction and makes no provision for compensation to the community, as the cost of defending the coastline is greater than the (blighted) value of properties saved.
