Ewell St Mary's Morris Side dancing at Chastleton House, Oxfordshire, on 6th May 2010. Gustav's Dance is based on Personent Hodie, a 15th or 16th century Latin carol, itself a parody of an earlier medieval song in honour of St Nicholas, the patron saint of Russia. The present form was arranged by Gustav Holst in 1924.
