So I am new to the exposure room, thought I would post a little bit about myself in the form of a super short blog.

My name is Adam McKay. I currently reside in South Porcupine, Ontario Canada. South Porcupine is small mining community outside of Timmins, Ontario. I am an aspiring filmmaker and photographer. Currently I am working odd jobs which I absolutely despise in order to pay off my student and credit card debt. I am also currently in the process of writing various shorts and a couple of feature films. Progress can be viewed at www.youtube.com/thedvxexperiment

Welcome to ExposureRoom! I suggest uploading your photos and videos here and making friends on ExposureRoom and commenting on their work. In turn they will comment on your work. In this way you can learn from them.

Welcome. I've found ExposureRoom to be a very rewarding environment for posting my stuff and getting good feedback. Not the usual "Hey, nice video," but real feedback, like "...at 03:27, you can shave a 1/2 second or more and make it a cleaner cut..."

You are just north of me, I'm down in Cleveland, Ohio. Well, I wouldn't call it "just north" maybe "way north."

I envy you. I may be an ignorant American, but I see Canada as this holy grail of places to live. Mind, I've never been there. But free healthcare, no murder, and lots and lots of open spaces and mountains really appeals to me. What's the terrain like were you are? Wait, how about I check out your images and video and see for myself.

I've also heard that ice was invented in Canada... :)

Post something for us to watch. And check out some of our stuff. Right now I'm digging stuff by Mark Dawson, Philip Bloom, Stephen Dempsey, and Marco Menestrina (sp).

Update: I just went and checked out some of your photos. I'm really digging the portrait set right now. Nice work. I really like the BMX guy sitting on the ramp. It's just perfect!
