The Search Page has been made simpler and easier to follow.

Please check the graphic which accompanies this news piece which circles the enhancements to look for.

  1. "Matched On": One sees what part of a search phrase has been "matched" for a located item.
Viewing the graphic that illustrates this, note that for the search phrase "Canon 40D", the first few items that match the search show that they matched on "Canon".
The items in the list will show up in the order of the greatest match.  Using this example, if any items had been found matching "Canon 40D", they would have shown at top.  But there were not any returning records for the entire phrase "Canon 40D" among "Videos".
  2. "Thumbnails shown": For each Asset (video, photo or music) that is located, the thumbnail image for that asset is displayed.
This will help you determine if you want to view more of the photo, video or musical piece.
  3. "Use Exact Phrase": If the checkbox "Use Exact Phrase" had been checked in our example, only items matching on "Canon 40D" would have been located. In our example, this would have returned "no" matching records among the "videos" that were searched.
It may be to your advantage, however, to "Use Exact Phrase" for many of your searches in order to zero in on a much smaller list.

We hope these enhancements make the search page easier and more fun to use!
