We've been working a re-designing XR. So far we have a few pages as samples. Once we get past the initial design concepts and components we'll start work on the rest of the website and release the new design to production.

We've been having a on-going discussion in this form post:

So please participate and let us have your feedback.

A few sample pages have been put up for your purview and comments.

Please take a look at these and the discussions and we hope to see more participation by our members.

Cool!

Shiv,

Drop down menu(s) are the way to go :)
Looks nice and functionnal.

Would it be too much trouble to keep the "My Home" on the same menu bar?
Then I can just click on anything I want and takes me to that page and 'my menu bar' ?
It just looks 'out of place' the way it is :)

For visitors 'my home' would say 'log-in and register'

cheers

Theo,

What we've seen on most sites is that "My Home" is always to the top and seperate from the main menus. Visitors won't have a "My Home" link. They'll only see the Sign up and Log in links.

The My Home link will have a drop down menu as well. You'll be able to go to any of your pages (even ones burried deep) from that drop down. So no matter where you are on XR, you can go to any of your own pages in a single click.

When you're on your web site (on XR) you won't see the XR menus across the top and you'll see your banner across the top. The page linked to in this news post is really the Asset Display page (part of a member website) but we're showing the XR menus across the top just to show people how the XR menus would look.

It looks fine. I can navigate pretty good now. The problems I have are the present movie advancment bar is very transparent. I have trouble with the Full Screen switch, volume control, and seeing the bar on the movie position travel along. Other poblems I have are with the light white text not having enough contrast to read the paragraphs at times. I think that the user switch option to make a little more stronger text and contrast would be benificial. The pale yellow text is just about readable on my computer. I think easier access to recipients recieving invitations to my videos would like to see more thumbnails of the other movies in the album group too. Maybe use of a moving or sliding thumbnail list would help. I use a laptop and the screen is not as bright as a desktop computer. Other than that I love XR Exposure Room.
Thanks.

Congratulations for the new design, that's the way to go! As a proposal, it would be very practical to be able to choose more assets at a time (if I want to delete 10 assets I have to click on all of them separately - edit - delete asset, very unconfortable) and to be able to upload more photos at a time. A navigation through the pictures, organised in albumes would be useful too and would bring many new members (flickr and picasa users).

Congratulations again and keep up the good works, we all love ExposureRoom!

We're about ready to release "The New Look". Take a look at http://exposureroom.biz.

Note that the domain is different from the main domain so don't book marking and such.
