Voice Comments
A new feature on ExposureRoom allows you to leave Voice/Audio Comments for Video Assets. So get your voice heard and leave an audio comment instead of text!
It's Really Simple
You can use your iPhone or any cell phone that allows recording audio memos. Record a memo and email it to the email address shown in the image below:
Or, if you're using your computer, simply click on the code as shown in the image above. The code is the portion that has been circled off in red. Clicking on the link will open up your default email program, with the subject and email address filled in for you. Simply attached your recorded voice comment and hit send.
You need to be logged in in order to see the code.
For those interested, the OCIAA part uniquely identifies you (no, that code is not mine). It's kind of like your password, so don't publish it. So the code for any audio comment for a video Video asset will begin with a "V-" followed by your 5 character "short id" (that's what we call it), and then the identifier for the asset in question.
You don't have to send an email from the email registered with your account on ExposureRoom, we'll identify you using your short id.
I happened to be the first on ExposureRoom to leave a voice comment, you can listen to it here:
Supported Audio File Formats
We currently support the following audio file formats:
Mp3, M4a, Wma
M4a is an audio file using the AAC audio codec and is the kind of file the Apple iPhone produces.
Wma is an audio file using the Windows Media audio codec and the is kind of file Sound Recorder (a program available on every Windows computer) produces.
Now you won't see the audio comment right away, but within 5 minutes or so, you should see it. And like text comments, all members involved in the communication will be notified when you leave an audio comment.
